Flashni

A compact combination of a high output sounder and
beacon for areas requiring both audible and visual indication of alarms,
ideal for use in elderly peoples dwellings or noisy manufacturing areas.
Common connection terminals saves installation time while the use of
universal bases allows the units to replace Roshnis if building
requirements change.

Xenon Beacons

The XL range has been developed as a high output
range of xenon beacons for industrial, commercial and other general
purpose alarm situations, where reliability and performance are
paramount.
The xenon tube produces a massive 10 joule output which is concentrated
by a further 20% by the use of a carefully designed dioptic lens.
With a choice of single or double flash operation the XL range offers
reliable, high output performance with a minimum power requirement.
XL, like the matching RL range, shares the same versatile options for
lenses and mounting accessories.
(Note: if used on electrically propelled vehicles an
EDV regulator is essential)
Intelligent Xenon Beacons
Offering maximum efficiency and reliability these
beacons are suitable for a wide range of fire, security and industrial
applications particularly where high noise levels or ear defenders might
affect the audibility of sounders alone.
The unique feature of the range is the suppression of current surge at
switch-on for the 1W & 2W versions and active current management and
selectable flash rate for the 5W variant. Control of current surge
alleviates the associated problems of fuse failures, relay contact
damage and high power supply ratings.
Additional features include a constant flash rate and stable flash
intensity over their specified voltage range.
Approved versions to VdS requirements.

Hochiki CHQ-AB Addressable Beacon

Hochiki's newest addition to the ESP® range is the CHQ-AB Addressable
Beacon.
The CHQ-AB is loop-powered and is fully compatible with Hochiki's ESP®
range of Bases.
The innovative high-intensity LEDs and lens design produces a highly
visible flash whilst the casing exactly matches the Hochiki ESP® Sensor
range in shape and colour providing seamless integration. The CHQ-AB
can be used on the existing Standard ESP® Base (YBN-R/3), Base Sounder
(CHQ-BS) and the Short-Circuit Isolator Base (YBO-R/SCI).
Key Benefits:
 | High Intensity LED technology |
 | Low current consumption |
 | 1Hz flash frequency |
 | Addressable via Hand Held Programmer (TCH-B100) |
 | Up to 127 devices per loop |

Apollo XP95 Loop Powered Beacon

Apollo's Loop-Powered Beacon has been developed as a
supplement to sounders for use in situations where there is a risk that
sounders may not be heard. These include:
 | where there is a risk that sounders will not be
heard due to, for example, high background noise |
 | where the occupants are deaf or hard of hearing |
It can also be used in enviroments where a 'staff
alarm' is preferable, for example in hospitals, or where sounders are
undesirable, such as in TV or radio stations or in cinemas.
The beacon:
 | is designed for indoor use |
 | is lockable, like a detector |
 | has a wide angle of visibility |
 | is loop-powered |
 | has a low current consumption - just 3mA |
 | uses LEDs |
 | complies with BS5839-1: 2002 |
The beacon can be connected to detection systems using
XP95 or Discovery detectors. However, the features of the beacon are only
available when it is connected to a control panel with the appropriate
software.
The beacon is fitted to any XP95 or Discovery base and would normally be
wall mounted. Alternatively it can be used in combination with Apollo
sounders. If the beacon is fitted to an Apollo Ancillary Base Sounder, the
sounder will be controlled by the beacon; if it used with an Intelligent
Base Sounder, the beacon is fitted to a mounting base which in turn is
fitted to the Intelligent Base Sounder. By doing this, the devices can be
controlled separately. The beacons can be synchronised with each other and
with Apollo sounders.
Up to 20 beacons may be fitted between standard XP95 isolators or isolating
bases. A loop loading calcuation should be made in order to determine the
exact number in a loop. A loop calculation programme is available as a free
download from this site. Please click here for more details.

Vantage Beacon

Using the latest developments in surface mount LED technology, the new
Vantage beacon is big on light output but small on power requirements.
The Vantage beacon is ideal for applications requiring an additional light
output, and is particularly useful for installing into existing alarm
systems, as its low power requirement means that system designers need not
contend with the usual problems of additional power supplies.
Low current also reduces the need for additional battery back-up when larger
numbers of beacons are required. The Vantage beacon is available with a
number of different lens colours, including red, blue, clear and amber.
Installation is via a 6-way 45 degree terminal block situated on the
underside of the beacon, resulting in a clean and rapid installation
utilising either of the Vantage mounting base options.
Quick fit installation is achieved by the bayonet fixing arrangement on both
types of mounting base, which includes a locking feature. |

Vantage-Combi Sounder/Beacon

An innovative approach to design means light output from the
Vantage-Combi is efficiently produced via a new low current LED cluster.
Vantage-Combi is ideal for applications requiring an additional light output
eg sheltered accommodation, hospitals and airports.
Synchronisation of light output is standard, as is the option to operate the
Vantage-Combi as a flasher/beacon only.
Low current reduces the need for additional battery back-up when larger
numbers of combination sounder beacons are required. The Vantage-Combi is
available either in a red or white body with lens options of red, amber,
clear and blue.
Tone and volume selection on Vantage-Combi is via a four-way DIL switch. The
Vantage also offers two mounting base options. The first is a shallow base
with easy access through into the main sounder body, reducing installation
time.
Vantage-Combi Sounder Beacons utilises the Vantage mounting base system and
may be locked in place if required. |
