Vantage Spatial Sounder

The new Vantage sounder contains an array of features and benefits that
installers are rapidly becoming familiar with. With its quick fit shallow
base or its IP65 multi-purpose deep base, Vantage gives a high output 105
dBa as standard. The volume setting (low, medium or high) is selected via
the DIL switch with the required tone.
Vantage has four standard tones for the UK market, with alternatives for
other countries. Vantage sounders are delivered with the volume set to a
nominal 101dBa output, and the tone set to sweep. Two-stage alarm is
available by using 3 wires.
With an operating frequency of 800 to 1000Hz, each sounder provides sound
within the frequency range specified by BS5839 and has a wide operating
voltage of 12-35v dc.
Standard with all Vantage products is a universal locking system. Utilising
an industry standard grub screw, each Vantage product may be locked in
place, making Vantage fully compliant with the latest requirements of
British and European standards.
Quick fit installation is achieved by the bayonet fixing arrangement on each
base and is standard on both base variants. The deep mounting base features
a throw-away cover plate for surface mount wiring. This is kept in place
when wiring directly through into the rear of the product.

Vantage-Combi
Sounder/Beacon

An innovative approach to design means light output from the Vantage-Combi
is efficiently produced via a new low current LED cluster.
Vantage-Combi is ideal for applications requiring an additional light output
eg sheltered accommodation, hospitals and airports.
Synchronisation of light output is standard, as is the option to operate the
Vantage-Combi as a flasher/beacon only.
Low current reduces the need for additional battery back-up when larger
numbers of combination sounder beacons are required. The Vantage-Combi is
available either in a red or white body with lens options of red, amber,
clear and blue.
Tone and volume selection on Vantage-Combi is via a four-way DIL switch. The
Vantage also offers two mounting base options. The first is a shallow base
with easy access through into the main sounder body, reducing installation
time.
Vantage-Combi Sounder Beacons utilises the Vantage mounting base system and
may be locked in place if required.

Vector Platform Sounder

The Vector platform sounder is compatible with most makes of commercial
grade fire detector.
With an overall height of only 25mm the Vector platform sounder combines low
profile looks with a high, clear sound output. A substantial area for wire
entry coupled with rising clamp terminals gives users of the Vector platform
sounder the benefit of rapid installation.
Each Vector sounder operates within the frequency range of 800 to 1000 Hz as
specified by BS5839. Like all dc sounders in the Cranford range, a wide
operating voltage of 8-35v dc is standard and the four tones match those of
the Vantage, Vara and Viper sounders.
Tones are available by selecting warble, sweep or pips via the jumper on the
top face. The continuous tone is selected via the terminal array and is also
used as a second stage alarm if a third wire is fitted. A cover plate (part
no. VCT-LID) is also available, transforming the Vector into a useful
spatial sounder if required. The cover plate is available in red or white.

Vara Room Sounder

The Vara room sounder is ideal for applications where a discrete, low
profile sounder is required that has superlative performance and sound
clarity.
Utilising a nose cone that reflects sound back onto the front plate, the
Vara room sounder gives a wide distribution of sound and is ideal for
applications in corridors where a more dispersed sound is required.
Each Vara sounder has a choice of four tones including warble, sweep and
pips selected from a jumper fitted to the pcb. The Continuous tone is
selected via the terminal array and is also used as a second stage alarm if
a third wire is fitted. Each of these tones matches other Cranford sounder
products.
Additional performance can be achieved by using the Vara VLS series. Each
VLS version contains two ultra bright LED's, giving an additional visual
warning, ideal for wards and sheltered accommodation applications in which a
visual alarm may be of more significance than an audible alarm.
