EMS FireCell Wireless Sounders & Beacons FAQs
What are EMS FireCell wireless sounders and beacons?
EMS FireCell wireless sounders and beacons are intelligent notification devices designed for use with EMS FireCell wireless fire alarm systems. They provide clear audible and visual fire alarm warnings without the need for extensive cabling, making them ideal for both new installations and retrofit projects.
What are the benefits of FireCell wireless sounders and beacons?
FireCell wireless sounders and beacons help reduce installation time, minimise disruption to occupied buildings and lower cabling requirements. They are particularly popular in heritage buildings, schools, healthcare environments, offices and commercial premises where wiring restrictions may apply.
Are EMS FireCell sounders and beacons EN54 approved?
Yes. EMS FireCell wireless devices are designed to meet relevant EN54 standards, providing reliable fire alarm notification performance suitable for professional fire detection and alarm installations.
Can FireCell wireless sounders and beacons be installed in existing buildings?
Yes. EMS FireCell wireless devices are commonly installed in existing and occupied buildings where running new cables would be difficult, costly or disruptive. Their wireless communication makes them an excellent solution for refurbishment and extension projects.
What is the difference between a wireless sounder and a wireless beacon?
A wireless sounder provides an audible fire alarm warning, while a wireless beacon provides a visual flashing alert. Combined sounder beacon units provide both audible and visual notification, helping ensure alarm signals are effectively communicated throughout a building.
Can I buy EMS FireCell wireless sounders and beacons online from Firesense?
