12V power supplies are commonly used to support a range of low-voltage fire safety and communication systems. At Firesense, we offer the C-TEC 800 Series 12V 250mA Power Supply Unit, a compact and efficient solution designed primarily for powering NC944 Four Zone Call Controllers, as well as a variety of other compatible devices requiring 12V DC input.
This unit is ideal for use in nurse call, emergency call, and other conventional call systems. With a 250mA output, it is capable of powering up to two NC944 controllers simultaneously, making it a practical and economical choice for small to medium-sized installations. Despite its compact size, it delivers consistent, regulated power, helping to ensure the reliable operation of connected equipment.
The PSU is housed in a double gang-sized enclosure, designed to be mounted easily onto a standard 25mm UK flush or surface back box, making installation straightforward and convenient for engineers. A green LED indicator on the face of the unit provides visual confirmation of power status, allowing for quick checks during servicing or commissioning.
To support system resilience, the power supply can also be fitted with an optional NC941B 12V 0.3Ah battery backup kit. This ensures that the connected devices remain operational in the event of a mains power failure—an important consideration for critical call and communication systems in healthcare, supported living, and assisted care environments.
