Battery Enclosures
Battery enclosures are designed to house and protect backup batteries used in fire alarm and life safety systems, offering a neat, secure, and compliant solution for battery storage. At Firesense, we supply robust battery enclosures suitable for both small and large capacity requirements. These cabinets are ideal for installations where battery backup is critical to the continuous operation of control panels, extinguishant systems, or emergency lighting.
Our small battery enclosure is capable of housing up to 2 x 18Ah sealed lead acid batteries, making it suitable for a wide range of compact fire systems. For higher capacity applications, the large enclosure can accommodate up to 2 x 65Ah batteries, providing flexibility for systems with greater standby power demands.
Each cabinet is durable and can feature a lockable hinged door to prevent unauthorised access and ensure safety in public or restricted areas. The enclosures are designed for either surface mounting or flush mounting with the use of an optional flush bezel, giving installers flexibility depending on the site requirements. Cable entry points are located at the top of the enclosure for straightforward integration into existing wiring and systems.
To support secure internal fitting and professional installation, an internal chassis plate is available. This plate provides a fixed base for mounting the batteries, keeping them stable and properly positioned within the enclosure.
