EN54 FireProtect Jeweller detectors combine certified reliability with effortless installation. This wireless series includes addressable point smoke and heat detectors, some of them combined with built-in fire alarm sounders. Each detector provides best-in-class detection accuracy thanks to Ajax's patented smoke chamber with a dual-spectrum optical sensor and two accurate thermistors. With built-in communicators, long battery life, and stable radio communication, the devices are ready for different-scale projects. No need to open the enclosure or run cables — installation and configuration take just minutes via Ajax apps. Early service notifications and automated maintenance reports via Ajax PRO Desktop ensure the system stays easy to support for years.

Smoke detection
The unique smoke chamber, dual-spectrum optical sensor, and proprietary HazeFlow 2 software algorithm guarantee the speed and accuracy of fire detection.
The smoke chamber is hardwired with a dual-spectrum optical sensor that has blue and infrared LEDs with different wavelengths. It measures the microparticle concentration in the air to determine the size of the volatile particles inside the chamber and responds only to smoke.
The HazeFlow 2 algorithm analyses and compares data from the dual-spectrum optical sensor to a specified pattern to define smoke from vapor or steam. The detector instantly raises the alarm when pattern dynamics indicate a real case of fire.
Heat detection
Two built-in thermistors detect a rapid temperature rise or threshold exceedance. They trigger an alarm when a rapid temperature increase or static temperature is detected. Heat detector modes — A1, A1R, A1S, B, BR, BS, C, CR, CS, or a fixed temperature2 — can be selected in an Ajax app.
This approach ensures fast and accurate detection of flaming fires or heat build-up caused by smouldering, which is critical for timely response.
Tailored detection with EN54 FireProtect (Heat/Smoke) Jeweller
EN54 FireProtect (Heat/Smoke) Jeweller supports multiple detection modes to adapt to different site requirements.
In the default combined detection mode, one sensor is selected as primary, while the sensitivity of the secondary one is dynamically adjusted. As signs of fire develop, the detector lowers the activation threshold of the second sensor to confirm the event. This mode enables fast and reliable alarm verification while reducing false alarms caused by non-fire factors, such as steam or temporary temperature changes.
In independent detection mode, both smoke and heat sensors operate separately, so an alarm is triggered as soon as either sensor detects signs of fire, ensuring the fastest response.
Additionally, the detector can operate in smoke-only or heat-only mode.

Fast, intuitive, and error-free setup
EN54 FireProtect Jeweller detectors are ready to operate straight out of the box. An installer can mount the device in 5 minutes using the SmartBracket panel without opening the enclosure. The panel offers up to 90° for device rotation for perfect alignment. Arrows indicate the correct LED orientation. Ajax apps help quickly make the device a part of the ecosystem: just scan the QR code, assign a room and a zone, and specify the device location for easier maintenance and identification. The parameters from a device profile are always up-to-date and instantly available via Ajax apps. All settings are configured via toggles in an intuitive interface, eliminating the risk of human error.

Reliable wireless communication
EN54 FireProtect Jeweller detectors come with a built-in radio communicator — no additional modules or wiring are needed. The Ajax system uses two-way secure radio communication based on the Jeweller proprietary protocol. Devices maintain a stable connection with the control and indicating equipment (CIE) at distances1 of up to 1,700 meters, and can operate through a radio signal range extender. The alarms reach the CIE in just 3 seconds.
The system optimizes power consumption to extend battery life, automatically adjusting the maximum power of radio transmitters in devices. The Ajax CIE uses radio hopping to protect against radio interference and signal interception. It also detects communication loss with a device in seconds, instantly notifying the monitoring station and users.

Long-lasting power autonomy
The detectors are powered by pre-installed batteries that provide up to 5 years of autonomous operation. They report low batteries in advance. Installers and users get notifications from Ajax apps. EN54 FireProtect Jeweller detectors also indicate low battery levels through LED indication and audible beep, keeping everyone informed on-site. Thanks to battery covers, replacement is quick and tool-free — no need to disassemble the detector.

Maintenance without the hassle
Remote system and device monitoring
All Ajax devices perform automatic self-diagnosis and report their states to the CIE. Essential parameters, including tamper alarm, communication, power supply, and sensor statuses, are continuously monitored. All the notifications and reports are available in Ajax PRO Desktop. The system sends early alerts, helping plan maintenance visits and optimize technician workload.
Automated maintenance reports
Security professionals can generate and download detailed reports on the status of all system devices. This allows them to identify maintenance needs without on-site visits and improve efficiency.
Industry-standard testing support
EN54 FireProtect Jeweller detectors are compatible with Solo 332 and other popular Smoke aerosols. In Test mode, filtering algorithms are turned off so the detector reacts to the sprayed smoke particles that replicate the conditions of smoke from a fire.
