With seven configurable volume levels, the sounder can be set to deliver a sound output of up to 95 dB(A) at 1 metre, ensuring audibility across a range of environments while avoiding excessive noise levels in quieter settings.

Quick Commissioning and Location-Specific Setup

For ease of configuration, the Discovery Base Sounder supports local setup directly at the device. Using a magnetic wand, commissioning engineers can walk the site and adjust the volume of each sounder individually. These settings are stored and saved via the fire control panel, speeding up the installation process and reducing disruption. Additionally, a unique acoustic self-test function enables the system to verify correct sounder performance without triggering the full alarm, offering a simple way to confirm device functionality during routine maintenance.

This sounder supports group, global, and individual addressing, providing enhanced control for multi-zone systems. Group addresses are configurable via software, with the capability to assign up to 16 different groups.
