Apollo XP95 Input-Output Module Three Channel With Isolator
Triple Channel Functionality for Broad System Integration
The Apollo XP95 Three Channel Input/Output Module with Isolator (Part No. 55000-590APO) is a high-specification, addressable interface designed for reliable integration of third-party equipment within advanced fire alarm systems. Compatible with Apollo’s XP95, Discovery, and CoreProtocol® digital communication ranges, this robust module facilitates both input and output signalling across three independent channels—making it a practical solution for diverse building management and safety applications. Whether used for interfacing fire alarm control systems with access control, ventilation, fire shutters, or other life safety equipment, this I/O module provides dependable performance, flexible functionality, and fault-tolerant operation.
Triple Channel Functionality for Broad System Integration
At the heart of this module are three single-pole, voltage-free, clean contact change-over relay outputs, each equipped with common, normally open, and normally closed terminals for connection to field devices. These outputs allow fire control panels to command or deactivate external equipment in response to alarm events, pre-alarm status, or other system triggers. Complementing the outputs are three monitored switch inputs, which detect and communicate the status of connected devices back to the panel. These inputs are fully supervised for open and short circuit conditions, ensuring consistent feedback and reliable system monitoring.
Compact, Addressable, and Loop-Powered
The module is designed to use a single address on the loop, streamlining installation and commissioning even in systems with high device counts. It connects directly to the detection loop and draws power from it, simplifying wiring and reducing overall system complexity. Addressing is handled via an onboard 10-way DIP switch, which also enables control of the diagnostic LED indicator. This allows engineers to quickly assign addresses and manage visibility of LED signals during commissioning or day-to-day operation.
Built-in Short Circuit Isolation
To ensure maximum system resilience, the XP95 Three Channel I/O Module includes an integrated short circuit isolator. This feature safeguards the rest of the detection loop from failure in the event of a wiring fault on either side of the device. The inclusion of bi-directional isolation circuitry ensures continued communication with unaffected devices elsewhere on the loop.
This built-in protection makes the module ideal for applications where fault-tolerant design is essential, such as large commercial buildings, hospitals, schools, and transport hubs.
Simple Mounting Options and Visual Diagnostics
Installation is quick and flexible. The module is supplied with 3mm screw fixings as standard and also supports DIN rail mounting, accommodating a range of installation preferences. An onboard LED indicator provides visual feedback during commissioning and service checks, highlighting device status for engineers without requiring additional tools. For routine operation, this LED can be disabled to minimise current draw on the loop and preserve power availability for other devices.
Compliant and Certified
The Apollo XP95 Three Channel I/O Module is fully compliant with the Construction Products Regulation (EU) 305/2011, EMC Directive 2014/30/EU, and Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. It adheres to EN 54-17 and EN 54-18, the European standards governing short circuit isolators and input/output devices for fire detection systems. Its design prohibits the connection of voltages above 50 V AC RMS or 75 V DC, ensuring safe integration within low-voltage fire alarm systems.
For added peace of mind, Declarations of Conformity and Declarations of Performance are available directly from the Apollo website, supporting product traceability and regulatory compliance for installers and specifiers.
