A dedicated square-fit attachment for DetectaHead®, designed specifically for AJAX FireProtect smoke & CO detectors.

The DetectaSmoke® aerosol and the DetectaHead® dispenser form a kit for functional testing of fire alarms. Fire safety and security installers, commissioning engineers, and maintenance technicians use them during installation, commissioning, and routine maintenance of fire safety devices. To test Ajax EN54 FireProtect detectors, Gas Safe Europe developed DetectaCup®, a specialized square-fit attachment.

DetectaHead® holds the DetectaSmoke® aerosol can and attaches to a telescopic pole for testing at height. The specialist fits DetectaCup® into the dispenser and places it around an Ajax detector to deliver a controlled burst of oil-free aerosol into the smoke chamber. This allows verifying the smoke sensor response: the detector raises an alarm, and users receive a notification in Ajax apps.

The main advantage of DetectaCup® is an exact fit. Its square shape perfectly matches Ajax EN54 FireProtect detectors, ensuring precise alignment and reliable activation in every test. The oil-free aerosol leaves no residue, so the chamber remains clean after testing. DetectaCup® attaches to DetectaHead® in seconds and swaps out easily to test detectors from other brands.
