EN54 Fire ReX Jeweller expands the range of a wireless network and delivers a stable connection for EN54 Line devices across a large or complex facility. The range extender connects to the control and indicating equipment (CIE) wirelessly or via Ethernet, delivering reliable communication through steel and concrete. Up to 5 range extenders can operate within one Ajax system, and each supports any combination of devices for fire safety, automation, and intrusion protection. Mix devices within the CIE's limit to leverage the benefits of the integrated system, including visual verification of alarms.

EN54 Line is suitable for a wide range of facilities: from small restaurants and gas stations to schools and office buildings. With a wireless communication range of up to 1,800 meters between EN54 Fire Hub Jeweller and system devices, it offers reliable performance even across large premises.

To expand the coverage even further, EN54 Fire ReX Jeweller can be added to the setup. Up to 5 range extenders can operate within a single Ajax system, effectively doubling the network size. Communication through steel and concrete

EN54 Fire ReX Jeweller connects to the CIE both wirelessly and via Ethernet, with the wired channel as the primary. This ensures reliable performance even in the most demanding environments. A single Ajax fire alarm system can cover complex facilities — from business centers with underground parking to large warehouses with metal structures, or historic buildings with thick walls.

Communication built in

EN54 Fire ReX Jeweller comes with a built-in radio communicator — no additional modules or wiring needed. Ajax systems use secure two-way communication based on proprietary Jeweller and Wings radio protocols. Devices maintain a stable connection with the CIE at distances of up to 1,800 meters. Alarm delivery is confirmed in line with the EN 54-21 standard. Events reach the CIE in just 3 seconds — more than three times faster than the standard requirement of 10 seconds.

EN54 Fire ReX Jeweller comes fully assembled and ready to operate right out of the box. The range extender can be installed in minutes, without opening the enclosure for mounting. Ajax apps help integrate the device into the ecosystem in no time: just scan the QR code, assign a room and zone, and specify the device location for easier maintenance and identification. Device profile parameters are always up-to-date and instantly available in the apps. All settings are configured via toggles in an intuitive interface, eliminating the risk of human error.

EN54 Fire ReX Jeweller supports both photo and video alarm verification via Ajax MotionCam detectors. Combined with automation scenarios, this makes it possible to create a complete visual verification system for fire and other alarms. An operator can quickly assess the situation, saving users from concerns and monitoring companies from unnecessary dispatches.

Stable performance even in a blackout

Main power supply
EN54 Fire ReX Jeweller connects directly to a 110–240 V, 50/60 Hz mains supply via dedicated power terminals. The power cable is not included, and the device must be wired directly into the electrical network

Immunity to lags, freezing, and viruses

EN54 Fire ReX Jeweller runs on OS Malevich, a real-time operating system developed by Ajax Systems. It is immune to viruses, resistant to cyberattacks, and extremely reliable. Action load and execute in less than a second after a smartphone tap, and automation scenarios are executed within the same rapid timeframe.
The range extender regularly receives over-the-air updates using the Wings communication protocol. Each update enhances the overall system performance and introduces new features, ensuring Ajax devices evolve and stay relevant for years.

Sabotage resistance

Informative push notifications
In case of an alarm, the system instantly notifies users via Ajax apps with critical alerts that include alarm type, device name, facility name, and room. Each detector-triggered alarm is also assigned a code, enabling monitoring companies to identify it quickly. The CIE transmits alarms to the Ajax PRO Desktop app or third-party monitoring software using proprietary protocols. Upon receiving an alarm, operators always knows exactly where help is needed.

Jamming detection and frequency hopping
The CIE constantly monitors the quality of wireless communication with system devices. If data packets are lost, it automatically switches to a different frequency within the band and reports the interference. Both the security company and users are notified about jamming attempts, ensuring the system stays one step ahead of sabotage.

Data encryption
All data stored and transmitted by the system is protected with block cipher encryption featuring a dynamic key. This makes it virtually impossible to reprogram the device, substitute, or steal the data.

Tamper alarm
EN54 Fire ReX Jeweller enclosure features two tamper buttons that trigger an alarm if the device is detached from the surface or removed from the mounting panel. To further resist dismantling attempts, the range extender is secured with a lock at the bottom of the enclosure. The lock can only be opened with a special key tool included in the complete set.
