Intelligent upgrade for existing setups

Ajax Superior NVRs feature proprietary onboard AI, bringing smart Ajax video surveillance to even outdated setups. The recorders enable basic cameras to recognize people, pets, and vehicles — with the same accuracy as native Ajax cameras. Third-party cameras enhanced via Ajax Superior NVRs can also send detection notifications, trigger sirens, or run automation scenarios. All of this comes with a single Ajax Superior NVR, without the need for costly camera replacements.

Always-on recording without service breaks

All devices in the Ajax Superior NVR H2D series deliver continuous recording, even during maintenance. They support hot swapping, so installed HDDs can be replaced at any time without shutting down the recorder.

Full story preserved with two-drive recording

Ajax Superior NVR H2D series offers two recording modes designed to enhance system resilience. Both minimize the risk of data loss if one drive fails, always preserving sufficient context of recorded events.

Redundancy mode
Footage is duplicated across both hard drives to ensure a full backup.

Split mode
Footage is recorded alternately in equal segments across both hard drives, optimizing storage capacity and balancing HDD load.

Keeping track of critical events — at the desk or on the go

Ajax Superior NVRs easily adapt to any monitoring workflow. Ajax provides a full suite of mobile and desktop apps for comprehensive video management. These secure, cloud-based tools enable users to view the video wall, manage the archive, and adjust settings from anywhere in the world. And with 4K HDMI and three USB ports for connecting a display and peripherals, a full-fledged monitoring station1 can be arranged right at the desk. Whatever the setup, relevant events always stay in sight.

Designed to fit every project

Ajax NVRs come in a variety of options to suit any application or network design. The Ajax Superior NVR H2D series includes recorders that support up to 32 channels to cover systems of different scales. Models with PoE2 ports can connect and power up to 16 cameras. Meanwhile, NVRs without PoE ports feature two Ethernet interfaces — ideal for connecting to industrial-grade switches on sites with strict network requirements.

  • Up to 32 channels
  • Up to 16 PoE ports
  • Up to two Ethernet interfaces

Easy integration through ONVIF® and RTSP

Ajax video devices are ONVIF® conformant and support RTSP. This opens up numerous opportunities to upgrade and retrofit existing video setups with advanced security features. Ajax cameras and NVRs connect to third-party surveillance or video management systems (VMS) in just a few taps — no special tricks, no extra effort. A wizard tool in Ajax apps simplifies the configuration process by automatically retrieving all necessary network data. Enjoy smooth streaming and flexible image configurations, whether building a new setup or expanding an existing one.

Conformance:

  • ONVIF® Profile S

Codecs supported:

  • H.264
  • H.265 (HEVC)

Three available roles:

  • Administrator
  • Operator
  • User

Additional features:

  • Motion detection events

Complete awareness with a customizable video wall

Keep the entire site in view on a single screen. The video wall brings together streams from multiple cameras — even across different spaces — so users can monitor several viewpoints at once. Tiles can be rearranged anytime as priorities change. The video wall is available locally on a connected display via Ajax NVR's built-in VMS or remotely via Ajax apps for smartphones, laptops, desktops, and TVs.

Smooth archive navigation

Ajax apps and the built-in VMS make finding recorded events faster than ever. Powered by proprietary JetSparrow technology, the system responds instantly, enabling smooth playback and effortless timeline navigation. Recordings can be filtered by date or object type for more convenient retrieval of footage.

Simultaneous archive playback allows users to review synchronized recordings from multiple cameras on a single video wall for faster and more comprehensive event analysis.

In Ajax apps, users can tap any event to jump straight to the relevant footage and export clips in seconds. In the VMS, recorded clips can be exported directly to USB storage, such as a flash drive or external hard drive.

Instant event-to-video alarm verification

No more sifting through piles of footage to find a specific moment. Ajax video devices are fully synchronized with the system. Notifications in Ajax apps instantly redirect users to a relevant incident recording.

Set up scenarios for cameras to start recording as soon as certain Ajax detectors are triggered. Configure video settings to instantly receive high-resolution visual verification of alarms.

Rapid and encrypted data transfer

JetSparrow is the heart and brain of Ajax video transmission, storage, and management. We developed this video transmission technology to deliver an ultra-fast VMS experience. With JetSparrow, navigating through the local archive feels as smooth as browsing cloud storage. As a result, surfing the archive becomes remarkably efficient, and the live view initiates without any delay.

Built-in motion detection

Save storage and simplify footage review by setting up pixel-based motion detection. Define specific zones where movement triggers video recording, so that only relevant events are captured. This conserves HDD space and makes archive navigation even faster and more efficient.

Privacy by design

Video data security
Ajax Systems ensures the highest level of video data security in compliance with EU data protection standards. Recordings are securely stored on the hard drive and can only be accessed with authorized credentials. The system continuously monitors the HDD state, sending instant push notifications via Ajax apps in case of overheating or low storage space.

The Privacy tab
The Privacy tab enables trusted accounts to grant or revoke user access rights to specific video streams and photos in real time. Users can control who can view, listen, save, and manage the content.

Access to video streams
Access to video streams is managed through the apps. Accounts can be secured with either a password or biometrics. Two-factor authentication and session control add extra layers of protection.

User-controlled system
Once installed, the system is exclusively controlled by the end user, with no backdoors. Access for PRO accounts is temporary, and only those with specific rights granted by the system administrator can access visual data.
