The C-TEC ML1/K Counter Hearing Loop Kit is a fixed 1.5m² audio-frequency induction loop system designed to provide hearing assistance at reception desks, service counters and other locations where clear person-to-person communication is required.
The ML1/K kit combines the C-TEC ML1 hearing loop amplifier, an AMT microphone and a TX2 pre-formed counter induction loop. The system is designed to create an induction loop field around the counter area, allowing compatible hearing aids and hearing loop receivers to receive the speech signal directly. C-TEC identifies the ML1/K as a fixed counter hearing loop kit supplied with an ML1 double-gang amplifier, AMT microphone and TX2 counter loop.
The 1.5m² counter loop kit is intended for restricted person-to-person communication and is suitable for applications including reception counters, ticket offices, banks, post offices, customer service desks, interview areas and other public-facing counters. C-TEC states that its 1.5m² counter loop kits are designed for areas requiring restricted person-to-person coverage.
The supplied TX2 pre-formed induction loop opens out to approximately 700mm × 700mm and includes a 2m feeder cable for connection directly to the rear of the ML1 amplifier. The loop can be positioned beneath a counter or desk so that a hearing-impaired person standing at the counter is within the generated induction field.
The ML1 amplifier provides microphone and loop controls, allowing the system to be adjusted to suit the installation. It also includes loop current and input signal indicators to assist with system setup and operation. The amplifier can accept additional audio through its outreach connections where required.
The C-TEC ML1/K is a practical counter induction loop system for providing hearing assistance in accordance with the requirements applicable to installed audio-frequency induction loop systems. Correct installation, positioning and testing are important to achieve the required field strength and audio performance.
For larger areas, C-TEC also offers other hearing loop amplifiers and kits, including systems designed for rooms up to approximately 50m² and larger professional installations.
