The Kidde Firex Heat AC is a mains powered heat alarm with a rechargeable sealed-in lithium backup battery, designed to provide reliable heat detection in residential and other applications where smoke alarms may not be suitable.

The heat alarm can be interlinked with up to 23 other compatible Kidde mains powered alarms, including optical smoke, ionisation smoke and heat alarms. Once interconnected, when one alarm detects the relevant danger, all linked alarms will sound simultaneously, helping to provide an effective whole-property warning.

The rechargeable sealed-in lithium cell provides backup power in the event of a mains power failure, helping to maintain protection when the primary electrical supply is interrupted. The Kidde Firex Heat AC is therefore a practical solution for installations requiring mains powered, interconnected heat detection with battery backup.
