MotionCam Outdoor (PhOD) Jeweller is a wireless outdoor motion detector with a built-in camera for visual alarm verification. When motion is detected, the device sends a series of photos to Ajax apps, helping users and monitoring companies quickly assess the situation and respond accordingly. The detector offers extended photo verification capabilities, such as photos on demand, by scenario, and more. Its false alarm filter and pet immunity help maintain reliable outdoor detection by reducing spurious triggers caused by swaying tree branches or animals.

Peace of mind on demand
MotionCam Outdoor (PhOD) Jeweller takes a series of photos as soon as it detects motion. The series can then be downloaded as individual photos or as a video, showing how the situation unfolds. Additionally, the detector can take a series of photos upon user request via an Ajax mobile app, regardless of the security mode. Furthermore, the device can take photos on a set schedule, by arming/disarming, or when selected devices in the system trigger an alarm.

Camera designed to guard
An outdoor camera often has to take photos in difficult lighting conditions. Direct sunlight, reflective surfaces, or street lights can overexpose the frame, depriving the image of critical details. This is unacceptable for a security device. We designed the camera to deliver a clear and sharp image that helps verify an intrusion in seconds and enables monitoring companies to respond in time.
Quality is in the details
We have rejected plastic optics in favor of a waterproof glass-and-metal lens. Its wide viewing angle covers the entire protected area, giving a full picture of what is happening. In bright light, the infrared filter is automatically applied to ensure distortion-free color reproduction, while two bright PIR LEDs help detect an intruder even in total darkness.
HDR
To capture a single photo, MotionCam Outdoor (PhOD) Jeweller takes two consecutive shots at long and short exposures. The processor instantly combines the shots, equalizing the balance between light and dark areas of the image, and then compresses it for the fastest transmission.
Privacy first
Detailed event log
The event log records 500 recent events in the system. The data is explicit with the device, time, and event description. On-demand photos are linked to the user who requested them and are visible only to those who have access to the system's visual data.
Strict permission distribution
The Privacy menu in Ajax apps helps configure access to visual data for users and monitoring station operators. This includes who can request a photo and when, which detector can take on-demand photos, and who can view the captured images or live video from integrated surveillance cameras.
Encryption and GDPR
Photos are encrypted at every stage of transmission. Only system users can access Ajax Cloud Storage and view photos. While stored, photos are not processed or analyzed. The Ajax Cloud server is hosted on geographically distributed servers that comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements.
Intelligent false alarm filtering
MotionCam Outdoor (PhOD) Jeweller is equipped with two independent PIR sensors, whose signals are analyzed by a two-step LISA algorithm. When both sensors detect motion, LISA performs correlation and spectral analysis, which helps instantly distinguish real threats from interference.
Correlation analysis
Whenever MotionCam Outdoor (PhOD) Jeweller detects motion, LISA analyzes and compares the waveforms from two sensors in real time. If the waveforms are similar, an alarm is triggered.
Spectral analysis
When both sensors detect motion, but the correlation analysis doesn't find sufficient similarity, LISA compares the frequency components of signals from both sensors.

MotionCam Outdoor (PhOD) Jeweller withstands temperatures up to +60 °С and down to −25 °С. In addition, a special hood protects masking sensors against rain and snow.

System supervision
All Ajax devices perform automatic self-tests and report their state to the hub. Essential parameters, such as the tamper button, communication, and power supply states, are continuously monitored. The Ajax Cloud server controls communication between the hub and Ajax apps, ensuring instant notifications for monitoring companies and users. In the event of any malfunction or communication failure, an installer receives an immediate push notification to provide the necessary assistance.

Effortless installation and setup
MotionCam Outdoor (PhOD) Jeweller is ready to operate right out of the box. The SmartBracket mounting panel enables secure installation of the detector without enclosure disassembly. Ajax apps help quickly make the device a part of the system: simply scan the QR code to add the detector to the hub. The detector can also be configured and monitored remotely via Ajax PRO apps.
